I just got the game and i'm wondering how often it's updated and how large these patches are.|||Blizz used to do weekly patches, fixing bugs. Kind of like a routine check-up. These would occur every Tuesday. However, i have not been faced with too many of these this summer.
Full out patches come out every few months (2-3 and sometimes longer). These patches (on average)are around 3gig-3.5gig.
Expansion packs are released about every 2-3 years. Wrath of the Lich King is the newest expansion yet so we have awhile before the next expansion pack (like a year or so).
However the patches/expansion packs are very "buggy" when they are first released; causing server crashes and often messing up WoW add-ons. Many players quit the game because of this.|||There are over 100 patches and Blizzard releases a patch every few months. They can range from 1MB to 800MB.

How to prevent Blizzard Downloader from automatically patching?

How long does Blizzard Support take to reply to your question?
I contacted Account Administration and am wondering how long it should take for them to reply. On a scale of 1 - 10 my question would be a 3.5 on hard it is to answer, it is regarding an account. Thank You.|||When I had a problem Account Admin took 3 days to answer mine and then I was told to submit an in-game ticket that took them a week to answer. I have also called them before which took them over an hour to get to me when it said 30min wait time. Blizzard is very bad when it comes to the time it takes getting to a "customer". I don't know how they figure that, but when you play a massive game like WoW that has millions of players I guess I can see why it takes so long for them to get to you. I just bought an adult Blazzing Blizzard leopard gecko, and he has solid black eyes. I read online that Blazzing Blizzards don't have solid black eyes and that it might be a Mack Super Snow Blazzing Blizzard. I have a normal female leopard gecko and i want to breed her. I found a male blazing blizzard male that i want. What kind of pattern(morph) will the babies be.|||they might turn out albino, or snow, or they might be a mixed thing like some normal and some blizzard|||if you breed 2 blizzards together the babies would be blizzard because you are not combining with a recessive trait(heterozygous)|||Normal is dominant, so unless she's het for something (AKA carrying the genes for...) you will get all normal babies. If you want babies that are something else, you need a female that carries the same genes.

Can Vivendi or Blizzard take legal action in this case?
Recently a Swedish company that deals with addiction released a statement that called Blizzard Entertainments game "World of Warcraft" the cocaine of video games and called it the most dangerous game ever. Can Blizzard or its parent company Vivendi take legal action against the company because of slander or some other legal reason?|||I would imagine that as long as the swedish company can back up their claims with studies, numbers, etc, that WoW is addictive, and therefore dangerous, Blizzard would have no case.|||I don't know... but I can vouch for the truth in that statement. I'm interested in applying to Blizzard Entertainment for a job, but I am not confidant that I have all of the skills necessary to meet their requirements so I have been searching (unsuccessfully) for an email address where I can ask them some questions like what their requirements are. How come the blizzard downloader is so slow?
ok the new patch 4.0 is available for download and i can't play wow without downloading it. the blizzard downloader is extremely slow and the average time for it to complete it says is around 10 to 15 hours. thats a bunch of bullshit in my opinion. nothing else is running on my system. i dont see why its so god damn slow. anyone know why? blizz pisses me off with this ****.|||Modify your downloader settings so it wont throttle background or something like that when you modify it its gonna give you some sort of warning saying it will slow you down hit yes and enable peer to peer sharing if all goes to waste then try this portforwarding site it has alll the Guides find your router and follow the steps

Chicagoans: How are you all coping with the Blizzard Of 2011?
Sooooo... As I watch the national news %26amp; weather forecasts across the nation, I witness the massive winds, power outages, snow %26amp; snow drifts in Chi-Town %26amp; its surrounding areas.
This blizzard the people of Illinois are encountering is a MONSTROSITY of a storm %26amp; is expected to slow down sometime on Wednesday, late afternoon.
That being said, how are you all coping? Tell me your thoughts.|||MSNBC is having LIVE coverage from the illustrious Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, as I type.
It looks deserted, to say the least, more of a "Ghost Town", if you will.
The "City that works" is inoperable at this time. The roads are impassable %26amp; the SNOW PLOWS are literally few %26amp; far between!
It's gonna take at least 72 hours before the city is up %26amp; running again.
The suburbs are just a MAJOR disaster, plain %26amp; simple.

At Which DQ can you buy a Snickers Blizzard?
I live in Ontario, Canada and my girlfiend keeps bugging me about the Snickers Blizzard. I can't find it at my local DQ's. Pretty much just Orangeville and Brampton. Does anyone remember the Ice Storm of 1976 that was the prelude to the Blizzard of 1977?
I remember the Ice Storm was before December 1976, because we moved to a new section of West Seneca on December 6, 1976. My father had to hire a backhoe to clear the ice out of our new driveway on Pellman Place. Then the Blizzard hit on January 28, 1977.|||Both those atrocious weather systems crossed the Atlantic and created havoc here in the UK. I remember it well. Your recent bad weather has also hit us badly. It's one US export we can do without!|||Don't remember the ice storm but man do I remember the blizzard. I got an immense amount of terrific shots of the city throughout the night and into the day. So technically they are still the same. I own a snow and they are still very pretty snakes. They are white with pink saddles. In my opinion, it would be very tricky to play wouldnt it unless they applied a keyboard controller and mouse and then you might as well be playing it on the PC only with better graphics.
Im a console girl and prefer console games but honestly, i dont think it could work for Warcraft.

How do I paint a blizzard in acrylics?
I am painting a southwestern scene, and I want a brisk snow blizzard effect over all|||You can dilute the acrylic paint somewhat with water until it is loose enough to use with a tooth brush and screen. Test on another surface before starting on your painting, that way you won't ruin it if it is not the consistency or effect that you want. Dryer the tooth brush, the more controllable the spray. Use a shaded white (add some blue or purple) to the smaller more distant snow flakes, and use a brilliant white for the up close larger ones, assisting with perspective.|||Diluting the acrylic paint with water might make it less structurally sound.
There is a clear acrylic solution you can get called co-polymer emulsion that can thin the paint, and act like glazing an oil painting.
The only drawback to this is that the co-polymer can be quite shiny, although I suppose you can use a matt/satin varnish over this.
:)|||hi, you can get an irridesant acrylic medium that daler-rowney make that mixes with your ordinary white acrylic to give it a shimmer/blizzard effect.

I have some friends I would like to show Blizzard Entertainment's STARCRAFT to, but they are not allowed to play games with blood.
Would there be any way of hacking into the game and cutting out all the blood (and, if possible, the bad language)?
Any solutions appreciated. :)|||I once stumbled upon a game engine in sourceforge, that advertised itself as an engine, that could run starcraft. It had screenshots with various starcraft units. I think you can ( with a lot of work ) create the thing you want, but it might be easier just to teach your friend or your friends mother to ignore the blood and turn off the sound effects at all :) That gives the opportunity to play the best real time strategy game of all time.
-Edit- I just wanted to mention (because of an another answer), that in my country, for example, the hacking mentioned in here, is not illegal, it is even mentioned as allowed in the law.|||the blood would be very tough because it is part of the script. I dont know how to do it, but I would not suggest trying because it could mess up the game. The swearing should be remedied by going into options and turning of unit responses. If they dont have an option for that, just turn down the volume on unit voices.|||Well not HACKING cause that will violate the EULA and get you banned.
There are some experienced scripts out there that more then likely will change a few things, however I am not sure.

In a commercial for Dairy Queen's Girl Scout Cookie Blizzard, a Girl Scout is selling cookies to a man at his doorstep. After the man declines, the girl's "spirit" comes out and the girl tells the man that he could buy more cookies to put into his Blizzard. Then, the man's "spirit" comes out and yells something at him, prompting the man to buy the cookies. I can't tell what the man's "spirit" yells at him and it's driving me crazy! I have been playing private servers, but most of them are like instant-level-80, or some other crap like that. I want it to be like I was playing on a Blizzard Server.

How did Blizzard Entertainment get so good?
Hi, i am just wondering how did Blizzard Entertainment get so good in the gaming market and how did they just boost up there as the best so fast? Where did they get the money in the first place to make there first games and whatnot? how?|||world of warcraft is just hella addicting|||the first 3 warcraft games were very popular as was starcraft, from those sales and the sales of the other games they have they went on to develop world of warcraft (a rather medico online game in my opinion) which because of the original warcraft games, it gained quite a following and through a really big advertisement campaign and players getting their friends to play WoW became stupidly popular, so many people have bought the game and played it for years and with 2 expansions they make a lot of money.|||LOL I would say that they took what Everquest was doing and boosted the graphics and listened to all the complaints about Sony (EQ) and integrated the best of EQ with a brilliant new twist on the idea. I played EQ for a long time before switching to WoW. I'm glad I did!

It's called the Yule Flip blizzard. It is vanilla soft serve blended with chocolate chips and peppermint candy pieces. If you tried it, what did you think about it? Why am I having problems with Blizzard Updater and Windows 7?
I had to reinstall World of Warcraft, because I upgraded to Windows 7. Now when the Blizzard Updater opens, it says "Waiting for files to close" and stays at 0%. Can I fix this problem?|||win 7 has compatibility issues ,same as vista when it came out but not anymore for vista thanks to the updates ,so i suggest u use win 98 , win xp or vista compatibility option and always run the game/program as administrator , also make sure that ur win and drivers are up to date.

Why does my blizzard leopard gecko have 1 spot on her tail?
I have a blizzard leopard gecko...she is about 3 years old and has no pattern besides gray/silver on top and white underside but in the recent months i noticed a small black spot on her tail that hasn't gone away with shedding. If anyone knows what it may be and if i should take her to the vet or not please let me know.|||Hmm.. a black dot on the tail? could it be decaying skin? Its hard to say without a pic but at 3 years her color change should have been done. So if i were you id bring her in coz ive never heard of a adult that age randomly getting spots. Can the Diablo 2 expansion be dl'ed when using the expansion disk, if my diablo 2 is downloaded from blizzard?
I bought the whole Diablo 2 set a while ago, with the expansion, but my install disk for the original diablo 2 broke, so i downloaded it from the Blizzard Website. I tried to use my expansion disk to download the expansion but it said i needed to download the original first. Does anyone know if it wont work because i got the original off of digital download and the expansion is a disk?|||you can uninstall the whole game and download form battle.ent , and then install , all problem will disappear.

The 2011 Blizzard and the Egypt crisis are on all news constantly. Why is the Australian Cyclone Yasi Ignored?
I live in Chicago and I am sick of the Blizzard coverage. I see on the major networks coverage of Egypt re-ran hour after hour. Why is the Cyclone, which is the most powerful in about 100 years ignored?|||SERIOUSLY!!! I was wondering the same thing! I have a good friend in Australia and I haven't heard from her in days, so I am very worried, but I have yet to hear anything about it in the news.
The cyclone stretched from PA to NM wide and from TX to the Canadian border high. You'd think that a storm system the size of the US would be more news worthy. I guess not. It was the most powerful storm in their history.
I'd also love to know why they're not covering about the bizarre, extreme weather we've been having in general...not just the blizzard...I only heard once on Frontline on PBS about 2010 being the warmest year ever recorded. Can you get into Blizzard Beach for free on your birthday?
I know if it's your birthday you get into disney for free. Does that count for the water parks too? Because i really wanna go to Blizzard Beach on my birthday. However, the water parks are cheaper than the parks, and the website does say that if you don't want the free admission (if you are an annual passholder, for example) the other option is to get the Birthday Fun Card, which is sort of like a gift card. And it is worth $75, the same price as free birthday admission. So since the theme parks are the ones that cost $75 and not the water parks, I interpret that to mean that you cannot do free admission at the water parks.|||Blizzard Beach? never heard of it and really Disney for Free of your Birthday Thats cool... By melting the water before drinking it, you are greatly reducing the heat loss your body will suffer.|||The snow will lower your core body temperature which will make you colder. Counterproductive.|||If you warm the snow, melt it into water, hopefully around 100 F, it will warm you inside. If you drink cold water yourcore temp will cool off further and possibly die from the cold.|||I agree with some of the others, it is a bad idea to eat snow. Les Stroud of Surviorman fame broke this rule if he knew if would be physically active - hiking, chopping wood, etc. - while he was stranded.
