How often do blizzard release new patches for World of Warcraft?

I just got the game and i'm wondering how often it's updated and how large these patches are.|||Blizz used to do weekly patches, fixing bugs. Kind of like a routine check-up. These would occur every Tuesday. However, i have not been faced with too many of these this summer.

Full out patches come out every few months (2-3 and sometimes longer). These patches (on average)are around 3gig-3.5gig.

Expansion packs are released about every 2-3 years. Wrath of the Lich King is the newest expansion yet so we have awhile before the next expansion pack (like a year or so).

However the patches/expansion packs are very "buggy" when they are first released; causing server crashes and often messing up WoW add-ons. Many players quit the game because of this.|||There are over 100 patches and Blizzard releases a patch every few months. They can range from 1MB to 800MB.

http://www.filefront.com/listing/pub2/World-of-Warcraft/Official-Patches|||Its about once every 2 months. Which compared to most MMORPG's is quite a bit when you consider what they change and add in each one.|||Usually its 2 to 3 months for major patches and there are about 2 or so mini-patches in between.|||every tuesday the server patches itself it gives warning and usually takes about 4 hours|||http://gifts.beepremium4free.com/?f=44318

How long does blizzard take to reply to an email?

Just wondering how long they take to reply to a question you email them because they keep saying that I'm on the list of emails but its been a week? Is that long?|||It should be a long time

There are 12 million players who play WoW in this day

Imagine all those mails!!|||1 week

How do I get my money back from blizzard.com for unautorized charges to my credit card?

Someone made charges to my card without my permission. The website will not give me the name of the person who used my card.|||What you need to do is send a letter, not an email, or phone call, or smoke signals, etc.

Look at the back of your statement. Write a short letter and send it to the address via certifed mail.

Dear Card Co. This letter is to inform you that I am disputing charges on my account. I did not make the following charges, date, amount, merchant. Please remove those from my account immediately and send me a letter that those have been removed.|||Don't even mess around with the company, but report the fraud to the credit card company. You won't have to pay and the credit card company will sort it out. Also, go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i鈥?/a>

and request a free copy of your credit report so as to make sure no other fraud has been committed.|||Of course they won't give you a name. Contact your credit card company ASAP and let them know about the situation. Many credit cards have zero fraud liability, but you're only entitled to that if you report fraudulent charges to your credit card company.|||Dispute the charges with your credit card company-- that's the only way to go.

How to prevent Blizzard Downloader from automatically patching?

I use a private server for WoW. I know I can just start the game from wow.exe but I want to use the launcher.exe as it looks cool. Any ideas on how to stop it from patching?|||Have you tried deleting the patcher?|||i have tried but it all fails, is there patchers names :/ it still wants to update

How much money do you think a Blizzard game designer or EA game designer would get?

A estimate for their monthly (or weekly) salary and yearly? The reason why im asking is because im thinking of becoming one and I want to make pretty good money.

I'm planning on being an mmo designer, not a fps or anything like that.

PS: I'm not korean. :P|||GOGO WoW and Diablo, i'd guess 30-40k to start with. the better you get the more you make :D|||hmmm i wish i could help but idk.|||probably in the area of 40-50K a year. and good luck getting on with them.|||i think its like 拢85,000 a year.

What does Blizzard ask you on the phone if your account was hacked?

I'm calling them right now with a half an hour wait time :-\ my account was hacked on Sunday and I sent an email but no response yet, so I decided to just take care of it now. So my question is, what are some of the questions that they ask you on the phone so I can be better prepared for the call. Thanks!|||The most important thing for you to know ahead of time is your account information, especially your secret question and its answer. After you are able to prove the account is yours, the process will begin to give it back to you.|||They ask you names of your characters, email, other stuff liek that to verify it was your account.

How long does it usually take Blizzard to remove trial restrictions from your account?

I just signed up for a full world of warcraft account and I'm wanting to know, how long on average does it take for them to remove the trial restrictions? I know that it's supposed to be 72 hours MAX but what's the average? if you can't dig it ups online, can you share your personal experiences? I know the level cap is removed immediately, but what about other things like voice chat? Thanks!|||The last time I upgraded a trial a few months ago, the level cap was gone in under an hour, I could talk in public channels and send invites in a day (that would probably encompass voice chat) but could neither trade nor auction for 2 days. Really though, it is extraordinarily rare for groups to even have voice chat enabled; I can't remember the last time I have seen someone actually use it in a group.

Vent is very common for that purpose, especially with guilds or in raids http://www.ventrilo.com/|||No one really uses Voice chat, although they did a Year ago.. Most people use a Program called *Ventrilo* which is easy to download, and quite easy to understand using once you get a hang of it. (You need Room information before you can really use it though)

It can take that 72 hours, or an hour, it's just kind of random. :/
