How do I put a blizzard launcher in the same folder as a blizzard game?

I have installed starcraft 2, and whenever I try to open it, it says: "the blizzard Launcher must be in the same folder as a Blizzard game". What do I do??? Please help!|||I had the same issue. I have a MacBookPro, and finally found a hint on another forum that led me to the answer. The hint was: "delete the Shared Blizzard folder".

Better hint: click on your hard drive icon in Finder, go to Users -%26gt; Shared and remove the Blizzard folder.

Here's what I ran into when I saw this issue happening. Drove me nuts until I deleted the /Users/Shared/Blizzard folder. Ugh.

- Fresh install from the DVD into default location.

- Install finishes successfully, tries to launch itself, pop-up window appears with "The Blizzard Launcher must be in the same folder as a Blizzard game." (Note: install log indicates no trouble / everything installed... clicking the launcher always leads immediately to the same error panel.)

- Repair app starts but fails immediately with "Repair app can not connect to Blizzard servers. Please try again later." (Note: traceroute blizzard.com goes 17 hops and stalls out, so maybe I can't reach the blizzard servers... I can get to everywhere else I try on the internet including battlenet, community forums, etc.)

- Repair app log shows an error msg: Failed to find any nameservers on domain 'localhost'.

I started messing with my /etc/resolv.conf file to see if I could add a nameserver, but it already has 2 listed -- probably from my comcast cable broadband install year ago. I pinged on of the listed ip addresses and it was responding.

I had set up my firewall to open all the necessary ports.

I was installing with an account that has admin rights.

Searching around for the launcher error, I see it posted about a lot for WoW. Suggested solutions for Mac: copy the app bundle from someone else's working install.|||This worked for me as well. Thanks!

|||LOL.

Well first, find the folder in WHICH you installed the game(starcraft2), and then copy and paste the Launcher into the folder and launch it from there.

Since I don't know if you have the launcher, I can't really help you, but try the above.

Good Luck!
